Our Story

When I started this business, I knew that I wanted it to reflect new beginnings because that is exactly what it is for me, hence the name Olive Leaf Creations. When I sustained a traumatic brain injury in 2023, I thought my life was over. I lost much of my vision, and as a result was sick at home for two years. I lost my job, my education, my hobbies, and felt I had lost my entire life.

A few months into my injury, I received two sympathy gifts. Uncoincidentally, both gifts happened to show up at my door on the very same day, from two people in my life who didn't even know each other. While one was a greeting card and the other a placard for home décor, they both displayed the same message: "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint (Isaiah 40:31)."

It was in that moment that I felt that God was with me. He saw me, and He was going to walk me through my difficult time. That verse carried me through the next two years as I endured vision therapy, and it still carries me today. In the moments that I thought I would give up, that verse reminded me that it wasn't over. 

A simple greeting card, like the one I received that day, might be exactly what someone needs to get through their day, their month, or even their life. That is why each card is blank inside, leaving room for the writer to leave a heartfelt message.

I want this business to encourage others with the message that new beginnings are possible and that, with God, all things are possible. Just like Noah sent out a dove from the ark, which returned with an olive leaf in its mouth indicating that the flood was over, I believe that, even if it takes time to see, God can turn your greatest loss into your greatest gain (Genesis 8).
